Oh wow this it the final day of my project of writing 31 days about change! :)
This has been a good month for myself as I have been studying about the subject
and I hope my posts have been encouraging you too.
And we haven't been focusing only on change, but change that lasts...
The change that can happen with God's help.
Believe that the change is possible!
As a last day and last tip for a change I would like to say that
it's good to share your new goal or the thing you want to change in your life with a good friend of yours so you can have help to do this process of change.
And then most importantly SUBMIT TO GOD DAILY!
When you submit to God daily it's easier to resist to a temptation and it's
easier to reach your goal of your process to change.

Few weeks ago I watched a sermon from pastor Craig Groeschel and he talked about his prayer of submission he prays everyday and I want to share with you this powerful prayer:

"Dear God,
I choose today to submit my whole being to you.
I submit my mind to you:
give me the mind of Christ.
Help me to think only things that are excellent and pure.
God I submit my ears to you today so I would only let
into my soul what is consistent to your truth.
Give me the wisdom to not let the lies in but only
to believe the truth.
I submit my eyes to you God.
That they would only look on things that
are pure.
I submit my mouth to you God.
That my words would be pleasing to you.
That they would bring you glory in what I say and
build others up.
I submit my heart to you God.
Give me a pure heart.
Make my motives to be pure to serve you.
I submit my hands to you God.
That they would be used to build people for your kingdom.
I submit my feet to you God.
That I would go only to places that are pleasing to you.
God I submit every part of my body to you.
Today my life is yours,
use it as you see it.
In Jesus' name.
Amen."

-Craig Groeschel

Day 2: Choose to change   Day 11: Trust God;He will help you to change    Day 17: Change requires new way of thinking
Day 18: A different way to think
Day 19:Think like Jesus  Day 25:Best ways to resist a temptation  Day 27: Don't depend on your own strength
Day 28: Love can make change
Day 29: Be filled!

Maybe you know very well what God promises, but you don't experience His promises in your life.
And that's why you might have difficulties to change...
But all that you are missing is Faith.
"Faith is the switch that turns on the power of the Holy Spirit."
-James MacDonald

EVERY STEP WITH GOD IS A STEP OF FAITH!
If you don't exercise your faith and believe in God's promises for your life you will not be changed!
FAITH AFFECTS EVERYTHING AND EVERY GOOD THING GOD WANTS TO GIVE TO YOU COMES THROUGH FAITH!
SO HAVE FAITH in God and trust Him in your process of change!
The power of faith is in what God says.

Faith is believing the Word of God and
acting upon it no matter how I feel, because
God promises a good result.
-James MacDonald

If you want the power to change it comes through the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit pours on the power in response to your faith!
It's never too late to start believe and trusting God!
So have faith: you can be changed by God's help!

Day 25:Best ways to resist a temptation

In our process of change it's good to realize that everyone has hurts from the past or we might have some sort of emotional emptiness that we try to fill with wrong kind of things and that's why we have difficulties to change.
But for real power to change, we need to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
And God longs to fill us with His Spirit on a continual basis.
"be filled with the Spirit"
-Ephesians 5:18

Well how to be filled with the Holy Spirit?
It's very simple.
First confess all known sins and then just ask:

REMEMBER TO PRAY THIS EVERY DAY!
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it,
and it will be yours.
-Mark 11:24

And after you have prayer believe that
you have received the Holy Spirit's filling!

Believe that  God's power is working in you
and be ready to experience God's
transforming power!

Day 25:Best ways to resist a temptation

Behind God's power there is THE LOVE.
Yesterday we talked that we need God's power to help us change, but to really understand God's power we have to believe in God's love for us.
It is God's love that compels us to live a new way and change!
God loves you so much that He freely gives His power to work in your life.
"God loves us with His everlasting love and His love is a perfecting love:it will change us.

Change is not easy...
But even if we fail we can hear God saying to us:
"I forgive you, I love you. Get up and keep on going!"
We are under a loving God who is committed to help our change.
Actually our change begins when we believe we are loved!

We cannot change ourselves and the reason why we fail while we try to change is because we don't depend on God.
"THE ONLY POWER FOR LASTING CHANGE
 IS CHRIST IN ME."
-James MacDonald

And what it is exactly Christ in me?
It is the Holy Spirit.
"Only the Holy Spirit has the power to make the changes God wants to make in our lives"
God says to us:

I am the Lord All-Powerful. So don’t depend on your own power or strength, but on my Spirit.
-Zechariah 4:6 CEV

"Do you know what kind of power is available to help you change? It's the very power that brought our Savior back from the dead."
-James MacDonald

So because we can't change on our own; we need God's power!

As God's sons and daughters we are victors.
So victory over a change is possible-
but it's also a choice.
And CHANGE IS A PROCESS that requires thousands upon thousands
of little decisions we make every day.
We can choose to do differently than we are used to do.

CHANGE IS A MOMENT BY MOMENT BY MOMENT BY MOMENT....
So real transformation is about the process.
We have too choose...make a right choice over and over and over again.

BUT AS WE DO THESE LITTLE RIGHT CHOICES OVER AND OVER OVER AGAIN...THOSE LITTLE CHOICES LEAD IN THE END TO REAL TRANSFORMATION.

SO FOCUS ON YOUR NEXT STEP! JUST THAT AND NOTHING ELSE AND VICTORY IS YOURS!

In Christ the power of sin is broken and we can choose to build our life in this truth no matter how we feel. Anyways there will be times that we are tempted.
"Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation.
The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."
 -Matthew 26:41

If you think you are strong, you should be careful not to fall. The only temptation that has come to you is that which everyone has. But you can trust God, who will not permit you to be tempted more than you can stand. But when you are tempted, he will also give you a way to escape so that you will be able to stand it.
-1 Corinthians 10:12-13

But there is a way to resist the temptation and it's so great that we don't have to fight alone but God is with us and He is faithful and He is willing to help us and He will provide a way out it.

The temptation always starts with a thought. So that's why it's good to decide ahead of time how to resist temptation.
First of all we have to submit to God.
So give yourselves completely to God.
Stand against the devil, and the devil will run from you.
-James 4:7
With God we can resist the Devil.
And one of the best ways to resist a temptation is to eliminate it.
Do NOT put yourself in tempting situations!
Avoid it, do not travel on it; turn from it and go on your way.
-Proverbs 4:15

It is said Whatever you resist persists.
So instead of obsessing over resisting your temptation,
acknowledge it and find something to replace it with.
Believe and remember that sin's power over is broken and good way is to exercise that is to
confess with your mouth and believe in your heart as you say the powerful words:
"I'M DEAD TO THAT"
Declare that over your temptation
and you will begin to change!
 So remember this:
